In 2014, I evaluated the impact of culture on HIV prevention service delivery in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil and learned Brazilian Portuguese as a Boren Fellow. My academic interests broadly include examining health disparities in domestic and international settings through cultural and intersectional lenses. Additionally, I have interest in evidence-based prevention and colorism.
