Dr Dzokoto has two parallel lines of research:

(1) The cultural grounding and impact of money behaviors (e.g. saving, spending, investing) and the adoption and non-adoption of different forms of money (e.g. new currencies, cards, mobile money) in developing economies.

(2) The cultural grounding of emotion and psychopathology

Other areas of interest include cultural clinical psychology, anxiety disorders, multicultural competencies in psychotherapy, cross-cultural transitions, and intercultural communication.
