Dr Dzokoto has two parallel lines of research:

• the cultural grounding and impact of money behaviors (e.g. saving, spending, investing) and the adoption and non-adoption of different forms of money (e.g. new currencies, cards, mobile money) in developing economies
• the cultural grounding of emotion and psychopathology

Other areas of interest include cultural clinical psychology, anxiety disorders, multicultural competencies in psychotherapy, cross-cultural transitions and intercultural communication.
